This Sunday we’ll begin a new sermon series on the Minor Prophets. These prophets are not so named because they’re insignificant or unimportant. They’re simply called “minor” because the books they wrote are smaller than those written by the “major” prophets—Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel.
Each week we’ll study one of the minor prophets, beginning this Sunday with the book of Hosea. Since we’ll be studying one prophet per week, we won’t be able to go into all the detail of an in-depth verse-by-verse study. So over the next twelve weeks I’ll provide a few resources to aid you in your own study of the book to help you prepare for Sunday.
